Fixture

Tonight the Under 11’s played against a good Pencoed Under 11’s team under the floodlights at Parc Derwen. A slow start from us with poor tackling, being too slow hitting the Rucks along with numerous turnovers led to Pencoed scoring 2 early tries to take a 10 Nil lead. The boys improved in the latter part of the first half with Sion scoring a good try and Gruff was unlucky to have a try disallowed on the half time whistle so we went in 10 - 5 down.
After a constructive half time team talk, highlighting where we were falling short, the performance level improved further in the second half with some good tackling in defence and putting lots of pressure on the Pencoed attack. We played some good ball handling rugby with few mistakes which resulted in a further 5 tries being scored, whilst only conceding 1, to give us the 15-30 victory that the performance deserved.
