The under 11’s took on a decent Nantymoel team at the Bandstand this evening on what was a lovely evening for rugby with a good turnout of players on both sides. The game was played in good spirit by both sides. We started off well with some great handling and tackling but we were a little slow at the breakdown and lost quite a lot of possession in the ruck area as a result. Nevertheless we managed to score 3 first half tries taking a 15 - 5 lead into the break.
After a half time chat about poor rucking and lack of support play, we came out in the second half with a much improved performance and both teams played some good running rugby. We were able to add a further 6 tries, with better support play and some good individual efforts, to hold on for a 45 - 25 win. Tries were scored by Gruff x 2, Osian x 2, Jayden, Hari C, Leo, Lennon and Kai whilst Kai was also awarded with the Man of the Match award for good tackling, offloading and general team play.
