Fixture

The Under 11’s went the few miles down the road to play against local rivals Pencoed in what is always a tough game and today was no different. The game started ferociously with some hard running and strong tackling from both sides. Also both sides showed good support at the tackle area and rucks were well contested. The half time score was 5 all with Kai scoring our try with some strong running through tackles but we allowed Pencoed to equalise with some tired defending at the end of the half.
The second half was a more open affair as legs got tired and tackles were missed but nevertheless it was entertaining. Both teams scored 2 tries (ours coming from a fantastic length of the pitch run from Noah and a massive 5 yard run special from Leo !). As the clock ticked down Pencoed took the lead with a 4th try but respect to the Sports who did not give up and Lennon stretched his legs twice to score 2 tries to give us the win 20-25.
There were some fantastic performances today with Phoebe putting in some great tackles, Kai putting in tackle after tackle, Lennon & Noah showing strong, quick running but the Man of Match today was Jayden for fantastic rucking and defending along with strong attacking play. A good game and our first win of the season so well done boys and girl.
