The Under 10’s welcomed a big Taibach Under 10’s side to the Bandstand this morning for a great morning of running rugby. After a slow start where the large Taibach ball carriers had us on the back foot a little, we found our stride and scored a couple of quick tries thanks to some good handling, running and support play. All 16 players had game time in the first half and we crossed the try line a further 4 times with only 2 tries conceded to take a 30 - 10 halftime lead.
The... second half was a much closer affair with again much good ball handling and committed tackling from both sides which resulted in 3 tries apiece making the final score 45 - 25 to The Sports, maintaining our unbeaten start to the season. There were many good performances today with Oliver having a good game at scrum half and Will making some confident runs in which he was unlucky not to get a try for his efforts, however the outstanding Team players of the week award went to the Coulthard twins who both showed great support play, tackled well and got their hands on the ball making good yards on a regular basis, well done Hari & Siôn. Try scorers were Noah Roberts (3), Leo Giraud (2), Osian Stephens (2), Jayden Walters and Gethin Evans.
